Quick Tip - Oven Chips

Just thought I would add a post on how to make quick and healthy chips.

Have the oven preheated to the hottest it goes and put a baking try on the top shelf.

Cut your potatoes to the size you want, I don't bother peeling them but it's up to you.

Bring them to the boil in plenty of salted water and simmer for 3-4 minutes until they're just starting to go soft.

Drain them and leave for around 5 minutes until they are dry and no steam is coming off them. This is important to get them crispy. When they are dry shake them up in the collender to rough up the edges.

Season them well, I sometimes add some paprika or chilli powder at this stage, add some oil to your baking tray and toss the chips through it making sure they are well coated. If you want them healthier you can use a low calorie spray. Put them in the oven as hot as it will go for 15 minutes, turning half way through.

And that's it! They taste better than frozen oven chips and take about the same amount of time.
