Roast Cauliflower

Usually cauliflower is boiled or gratinated. This is a great alternative and is really good for you. It is a really good alternative to potatoes.




Serves 4

Ingredients


1 Lagre Cauliflower, cut into florets
2 tbs Vegetable Oil
1 tsp Crushed Chilli (or however much you like)

Method

Heat the oven to 220c. Put the cauliflower Florets into boiling water for about 4 minutes until just soft. Drain and run under cold water to cool them completely and to stop them cooking.

Toss the in the Oil and Chilli Flakes.



Heat an oven safe frying pan until very hot and add the Cauliflower. Fry until it starts to turn a golden colour, stirring occasionally  If you are pan frying meat you can use the pan you cooked the meat in for this while it is resting. This will give it a much richer flavour.

Put into the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the Florets are a nice golden colour and cooked through.
